It is the season to holiday

Quite simply because people have time off from school/work and not because it the best time of the year to travel to the Tamil heartland.

Chidambaram, Pichavaram, Poompuhar, Thanjavur, Karaikudi, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Thirunelveli, Madurai, Kallanai, and back home.

One does learn quite a bit travelling with two small school-going cousins and their extensive Tamil film music collection.
