What are the Pakistanis on?

I know little about self-reported happiness research, but this observation by Dani Rodrik is quite interesting and amusing.

Now what are the Pakistani's on? Bollywood again?

I wonder what 'satisfaction levels' he measures... especially since Japan seems to be pretty high in satisfaction levels.

But again this was in 2003. I suppose they should be much better now in India, and much worse in Pakistan now.
