Futuaris nisi irrisus ridebis

Fuck em if they cant take a joke.
Thats a great line I can take from this book I finished reading today. But ever since I saw Eric Idle on the cover of the fat hardbound on the library shelf, I knew I had something on my hand.

The Road to Mars is a funny book written by a funny man, but it is not absolutely pythonesque. In it is an academic thesis on comedy, a terrorist plot against Mars, a singing old diva, a robot that looks like David Bowie (also in drag in a few scenes), superb zero-gravity sex, and a plotline that borders on a Terry Gilliam version of The Fifth element. Yeah, it also has two stand-up comics and the tragedies of their lives.

As I said, not very pythonesque, but enjoyable.

You got it D. Something has changed. Psst dont tell anyone, but I am not really Anand! I am his nephew Aditya. A few weeks ago, Anand decided to stop blogging (burnout maybe?). I had become such a frequent visitor to Mdeii Life that I didnt want the blog to go. Anand was actually very glad to give me the keys and here I am. That picture up there is of me really. Of course, I dont exactly look like that: Photoshopped here and there (to make me look a little older).
Unlike my almost prudishly conservative uncle, I like to talk dirty. That explains the change in tone. Lets see how long I can keep this thing going.
Anyway Futuaris nisi irrisus ridebis! Now the contest is: can you find out the exact date when this transfer of power took place? The winner gets a congratulatory letter by e-mail, and one of my dinosaur drawings. (Not attractive enough? OK I am also willing to throw in an all-expense paid trip for two to the Athens Olympics)
