Happy Bloomsday

My personal fascination for Ulysses stems from the fact that it is such an 'aural' book. Also, it is so dense, that I am unable to read through the 'story'. When I bought the book in January, I wanted to finish it by today... alas!

I suppose there are quite a few Joyce aficionados in Chennai, but do they meet up for Bloomsday? Anyway, wherever you are in the world, raise your pint of Guinness and have a nice Bloomsday.

At last a kindred soul! I have taken up the book umpteen times before, started all over from page one and have never progressed beyond the first fifty pages. Yet, it is one of my life's ambitions to finish it one day. Dense did you say? That is an understatement.
