Summer, sunshine and skirts

I've finally found some enjoyable British weather. Hope I've not spoken too soon... The light's changing outside the window now.
Anyway... I've always wondered why even in the middle of the winter, girls here prefer to turn up on the streets dressed in handkerchiefs. Now that summer is here, there are legitimate reasons to dress 'tropical'. I simply love the skirts the girls wear here. Floweryflowingpleatedtastefulcolourfulcotton!
Oh Boy, I love the summer.
